Graveside services for C. W. Underwood, Jr. , 78, of Longview will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, Texas. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Underwood passed away Friday, June 9, 2006, in Longview.
He was born November 30, 1927, in Glen Rose, Texas, to Charles Warren and Emmie Effie Underwood. He had lived in Longview since 1962 and was a retired Mechanical Foreman with the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Longview, three daughters, Carol Underwood Kinsey, Teresa Underwood Ward, Margaret Ann Willis, three sons, Donny Bruce Underwood, Lester Warren Underwood and Garland Gene Underwood, two brothers, Gene Underwood of Cleburne, Texas; Wayne Underwood of Ft. Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alpha Orville Underwood, a sister, Dorothy Lou Wilburn and grandson Tanner Underwood.
Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson?s Research.
