C. W. "Dub" Mabe
Memorial services for C. W. "Dub" Mabe, 77, of Longview, will be held at 12 Noon Friday, April 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor Jeffrey Borgwardt officiating. Mr. Mabe passed away Tuesday, April 13, in a Tyler hospital. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Mr. Mabe was born June 16, 1932 in Cleburne, TX to Charlie and Jesse Mabe and was a longtime resident of Longview. He was a retired maintenance for Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, Missouri and was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Longview.
Mr. Mabe was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Cecil Ray Mabe and sister, Faye Grider.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Betty P. Mabe of Longview; children, Eric R. Hennington of Irmo, SC, Ray Paul Olcott of Victoria, TX, Billy G. Mabe and wife Teresa Whittaker of Tyler, Cynthia M. Harris and husband, Jimmy D. "Shorty" of Lake Cherokee, and Carrie M. Jacobs and husband Robert of Springfield, IL; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Pat Stewart and husband Joe of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Ernestine "Ernie" Mabe of Lake Cherokee; aunt, Wilanna Mabe and her son Jerry of Burleson, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
