Mr. Holder was born on December 23, 1950 in Gilmer, Texas to Cecil and Louise Holder. He passed away on Friday, December 20, 2002 in a Marshall hospital.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. Mr. Holder was a 1969 graduate of Longview High School, attended Kilgore Jr. College, and received an Associates Degree. He was employed by Cottingham Bearing, Bearing?s Incorporated, and Applied Industrial Technologies for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, sports enthusiast, and active member in the White Oak Community, and cared a great deal about his town. In recent months, he had began attending White Oak Community Church and was in the process of moving his letter from East Mountain Baptist Church. He was a member of the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge, and he enjoyed spending time in "fisherman fellowship" with his friends gathered at Uncle Ed?s Tackle, when not at work or with his family. No matter where he went, "Big" was always able to find a smiling familiar face, or turn a stranger into a friend.
Mr. Holder was reunited in heaven with his son, Rocky Holder, and mother, Louise Holder.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Holder of White Oak; sons, Casey Holder of Longview, and Nathan Holder of White Oak; father, Cecil Holder of Longview; brother, Tim Holder of Hallsville; sisters, Vicki Stevens of Longview, Debbie Holder of Longview; grandchildren, Molly and Cameron of North Carolina; Mother-in-law, Emma Pace and loving friends, Alice and Billy Turman, Melvin Jordan, James Mowery, Jaclyn Steele, Denny Larrison, Clint Noll, Lance Bridwell, the Kienzle Family, Wightman Casey and so many others that were lucky enough to know and share his love with us.
