Byron Ben Beethe
A service of Celebration for Byron Ben Beethe, 20, of Longview, will be held 10 am Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Mobberly Baptist Church with Dr. Laney Johnson and other members of the Mobberly Staff officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Byron was born on February 28, 1983 in Longview, to Bernie and Cindy Beethe. He went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, October 4, 2003.
Byron was a 2001 graduate of Pine Tree High School and was attending Tyler Junior College pursuing a degree in graphic design.
Throughout most of his life, Byron has shown great perseverance in dealing with neurofibromatosis which he was diagnosed with at age 3. In recent months the disease led to cancer which he fought with great faith and courage. Byron had a deep abiding love for Jesus Christ and very boldly shared this with others. He was very active throughout his life at Mobberly Baptist Church.
A loving son, brother, and grandson, Byron was preceded in death by his grandmother, Delilah Beethe. He is survived by his parents, Cindy Beethe of Longview and Bernie Beethe of Ville Plat, La.; his loving sister, Bethany Beethe; paternal grandfather, Alonzo Beethe; maternal grandparents, Wanda and Fran Asbury; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Byron to: Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation at 16475 Dallas Parkway, Suite 780, Addison, Texas 75001.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Mobberly Baptist Church, and family and friends, as well as the Pine Tree Independent School District, for all their love, prayers and support during Byron?s time of illness.
