Buddy McFadden
Buddy McFadden of Hallsville made his heavenly flight on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Mulberry Spring Baptist Church, with the Reverend Danny Warbington and Neal Thornburgh officiating.
Buddy was born in Paris, Texas on June 14, 1943 to Walter and Willie Mae McFadden. He was a very loving, caring and devoted husband, daddy, Paw-Paw and friend. Buddy was a member of Mulberry Spring Baptist Church.
Buddy retired from Hallsville ISD on June 30, 2010 after being an avid Bobcat supporter for 24 years. Before joining Hallsville ISD he was an employee of Brookshire Grocery Company for 27 years.
Buddy loved his grandchildren and attended all their activities and supported them in everything they were involved in.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandson, William Lane Robinson; father-in-law, Edgar Don Buchanan; brother –in-law, Gary Lynn Buchanan; and Nephew, Garvin Wade McFadden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, LaDonna McFadden of Hallsville; his devoted children, Tracy McFadden of Hallsville and Melanie Robinson and Husband, John of Boston, Georgia; grandchildren, who he adored, John Marshall McFadden and Morgan McFadden of Hallsville; Johnathan Robinson and Courtney Robinson of Boston, Georgia; Brother, G. W. McFadden and wife, Bobbie of Maydelle, Texas; Mother-in-law, Ruth Helen Buchanan and Brother-in-law, James Michael Buchanan both of Hallsville and a niece and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Marshall McFadden, Morgan McFadden, Johnathan Robinson, Mike Conner, Darryl Gillcoat, Joe Oliver, Gary Pearson and Tim LaFleur.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Butch Moore, Jack Ford, Don Brooks, Tom Conner, Ralph Bassett and Don Holly
The Family wishes to thank all of Buddy's caregivers, especially Dr. Socoteanu and Staff; Hospice nurse, Ann and loving Hospice aide, Shante from Texas Home Health Hospice.
The Family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mulberry Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 16376 FM 449, Hallsville, TX 75650.
