Dear Cindy,
Our hearts ache knowing that you have lost your precious son. We were not privileged to know Bryan, but know that he must have been very special indeed because he was, and is, a part of you. You have touched our family more than you will know. There are many wonderful teachers in this world, but few who truly have divine gift, as you do. You are able to look into the heart of each child in your care and see who they really are. More importantly, you accept and celebrate who they are. You radiate unconditional love to everyone you touch. We pray that our loving God will fill the void left by Bryan's loss with peace, hope, and, eventually, joy.
Love,
Charles, Donna, Bradie, and Clancy Davis
Dear Bickerdike family,
What an honor it was to be invited into your family's celebration of the life of your son Bryan. Your fond memories of Bryan, and the words each of you used to describe your profound love for him, blessed me immeasurably. I was blessed by the time we spent together, with his extended family and huge circle of friends, expressing the way that the world will forever be changed by the gift of Bryan's life. Thank you so much for letting me share in such an intimate moment of your family's life together. My prayers continue for each of you...that the passion with which Bryan lived, and the extravagant love that he shared with so many, will live on through each of you. God bless you.
Mrs. Bickerdike,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. Our families will always have a common passion for Great Danes. It seems like yesterday, that Jackson was in your class and that we were at your house & your family was helping Jackson pick out his Great Dane "Ms. B." We still love the dog and love the memories of 3rd grade. Again, our prayers are with you, Wesley & Brent.
Love,
Denise, Stewart, Jackson & Alex Green
My heart is so sad for you both. I pray you will find peace in Jesus' arms today, tomorrow, and the weeks and months ahead. You and your family are on my heart and in my prayers.

Bryan loved to duck hunt and it was early in his career of duck hunting. I took Bryan into an area that was basically a wood duck feeding pool. We were shooting and Bryan kept complaining that he couldn't hit the birds and being the shot that he was it was frustrating to him. I watched him as the next group came in and noticed that Bryan would shoot at one bird and if he missed he would switch to the next closest bird and miss and switch to the next with the same results until his gun was empty. I advised him that he needed to pick one bird, just one target, stay with it until he brought it down. WOW success at last. I reflect on this story and it's much like life. Pick a target and stay with it until you reach success, one target at a time.

Bryan was one of my favorite students of all time. I was not only shocked but deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Fond memories of him flooded into my mind when I learned of his death and funeral late on Tuesday afternoon. His mother and I became friends the year he was in my class. My children would come with me to their house and they enjoyed all of the unique and interesting pets. Bryan was so bright and he was "all boy", competitive and determined. I loved his energy and sense of humor and most of all his smile. I pray that God will hold his family close and comfort them during these dark days.

I want to take the time for a moment to reflect on my son's life. Every father wants to know what kind of a man he has turned loose on the world. You see, as your baby grows to be a man, you don't get to share his life on an intimate basis like he share's his life with others. You wonder, and every father that reads this does, too. The stories that his closest friends shared with me these past few days have comforted me and given me what I needed to know about Bryan Cash Bickerdike. Thank you all from the depths of my heart.
