Brown Wilson Jordan
Graveside services for Brown Wilson Jordan, 78, of White Oak, Texas will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2008 at Rosewood Park with the Reverend John Saint officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He entered into eternal life Wednesday, February 6, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jordan was born October 15, 1929 in Hazlehurst, MS to Sadie Brown Jordan and Silas Wilson Jordan. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a patriot. He was employed with Sun Oil Company from 1952 until his retirement in 1990. He was an active member of the White Oak United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Jean Jordan; brothers, Maurice, Thomas and Elmo Jordan; sisters, Doris Ainsworth and Nelva Montgomery; niece, Suzanne Montgomery; and nephew, Dale Ainsworth.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Konyia Jordan Williamson and husband Gary of Houston; son Bryan Jordan of White Oak; son Jay Jordan and wife Shawntee of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Faye Jordan of Hazlehurst, MS; 5 grandchildren, Bryan Jordan, Jr., Eric Winchester, Justin Jordan, Yesenia Cardenas and Jayson Jordan; 2 great grandchildren, Jeremy and Dallas Jordan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
