Brenda J. McMullen's Obituary
Brenda Joyce McMullen, a strong woman of family and faith passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born November 9, 1942 in Gilmer Texas to William Eugene Boyd and Ovetra Simmons Boyd. Brenda grew up in the Harelton area and graduated as valedictorian of Harelton High School. She retired in 2008 from LeTourneau, Inc. in Longview, TX.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her sister, Mary Nell Henry, and her beloved son Kirk Lyran Ross.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James Donald McMullen; her Daughters, Karen Ross (Christina Carter), Donna Powell (David Powell); Sons, David McMullen (Jamie McMullen), Jimmy McMullen (Kim McMullen); Daughter in Law, Karen Lynell Ross; Granddaughters, Ashley McMullen (Kendra McMullen), Lindsey Ashmore (Judson Ashmore), Rachel Duke (Brent Duke), Kayley McMullen, and MaKenna Ross; Grandsons, Brian Burghart (Lauren Burghart), Chance McMullen (Nicky McMullen), Garrett McMullen (Kelli McMullen), and several great grandchildren as well as a nephew, close cousins and many friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and director of Kindful Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Brenda.
Graveside services for Brenda will be held at Center Cemetery in Harleton, TX at 10:00 am on Monday, October 7, 2024.
