Brenda Kay Spruell's Obituary
Brenda Kay Spruell
A celebration of the life of Brenda Spruell was held on May 17th with approximately 80 friends attending to honor her valiant two year battle with cancer.
Brenda passed into eternal life, at home, with family and friends by her side on July 24, 2008.
A Memorial service will held at Ten O'clock AM Monday July 28, 2008 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Chaplain Joe Hocking officiating.
Brenda was a devoted wife, loving mother and an exceptional grandmother. She was also a great friend to all who knew her.
When she was diagnosed with cancer, she remained positive and continued to live her life, as much as possible, as she always had – being a loving, giving and caring person. Even when she was told that her outcome was not positive she never gave up because of her strong faith and love of her family and friends, of which are many.
Despite her pain, Brenda was always there for her friends as she had been throughout her life. She never knew a stranger-once she met someone, they quickly became her friend because of her personality, caring and compassionate nature.
Brenda was always willing to do anything for those who needed help. Even though she suffered every day, during the last two years of her life, she was always concerned about her friends and checked on them because she sensed "that they needed her even though they didn't ask. She was "that kind of friend" and you were truly blessed if she considered you her friend.
She will be greatly missed by her family and her multitude of friends. She will never be forgotten by all that had the privilege of knowing her.
Survivors include Raymond Spruell, loving husband of 42 years, daughter Amy Robinson and husband Eric and granddaughters, Whitney Wilhelm and Lani Robinson.
