Brandon Wade Sims
Brandon W. Sims, age 37, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, following a courageous battle with Scleroderma.
He was born June 10, 1974 in Lufkin, Texas to Sheryl and Larry Sims. He attended Hallsville I.S.D.
Brandon enjoyed being outdoors and loved to hunt. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing with his son Dakota as well as taking both children to the Monster Truck Events. Brandon was his father's partner and right hand man working side by side operating Sims Stump Grinding.
Brandon is survived by his mother and father, Sheryl and Larry Sims, his children, Brittney and Dakota Sims, and children's mother, Amanda Walker all of Longview, TX, his brother, Mike Sims, sister-in-law Dana Sims and niece Abby Sims of Tyler, TX. and his special companion, Tracy Wilkerson of Jefferson, Texas. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
