Brandon Dale Johnson "Snake"'s Obituary
Brandon Dale Johnson "Snake" was born on December 23, 1955 in Longview, TX. He graduated from Spring Hill High School and went on to attend Kilgore College.
While in high school, Brandon was active in many sporting activities. He was so quick weaving in and out on the basketball court and football field, that people would say he reminded them of a Snake. The nickname, Snake was born, and stuck with him throughout the rest of his life. In the summer of 1975, while attending Kilgore College, Snake met a sweet girl named Brenda Bailey and later got married on November 13, 1976. They went on to have three amazing children, Anthony, Andrea, and Arthur.
Brandon worked at Eastman Chemical for a brief time, before eventually going into the electrical business with his brother-in-law Cy Boyd, and father, Mark "Big Jack" Johnson, forming CMB Electric.
Snake loved God, his family, sports, hunting, the Longview Lobos, and especially fishing. Fishing was his favorite thing to do, and he always knew exactly where the fish were biting, especially on Lake of the Pines. Legendary Fisherman is just one of his many great titles. He also loved to hunt, including various parts of the state of Texas with several deer leases throughout his lifetime. He never missed a Longview Lobo Home Game and would even attend practices.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Brenda Johnson, of nearly 49 years, his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Elizabeth Johnson of Joshua, TX, his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Jason Baros of Longview, TX, and his son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Dessie Johnson of Longview, TX. He is also survived by many siblings: Brett and Javan Johnson, Ford and Cindy Johnson, Mark and Linda Johnson, Joe Mack and Nancy Johnson, and Dianne and Mark Hughes. Brandon is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Mark and Rebecca Johnson. He also has seven amazing grandchildren that were the apple of his eye, Aiden Johnson, Fisher Johnson, Bailey Johnson, JoJo Baros, Mae Baros, Maverick Johnson, and Murphy Johnson.
Even though Snake is no longer with us here, his legacy and memories will be cherished for days to come until we meet again in our Saviour's Kingdom. The celebration of life will be held Friday, June 6th, 2025 at 10am at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, TX.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the go fund me set up in honor of "Snake".
