Boyce Weldon Richie's Obituary
Boyce Weldon Richie, 85, passed away unexpectedly May 7,2020 at Eden Place where he and his wife Gloria resided for the last 5 years. He was born December 25, 1934 to Albert and Berta Richie. Weldon graduated from White Oak schools and attended North Texas University.
Weldon spent a lifetime in the oil industry and locally worked for Flanders Electric and Sams Club.
On November 16, 1956, he married the love of his life, Gloria Tucker. They have 3 children, Robert and wife Gail Richie with grandson Ryan and wife Nicole Richie. Lisa Richie and grand daughter Kathryn and husband Ashtyn Ellis. Scott and wife Susan Richie with grand daughter Sarah and husband Isreal Miller, grandson Jonathan and wife Caity Richie.
He was a loving husband of 63 years and a great father who faithfully modeled his Christian faith across his lifetime. He was a member of the Woodland Hills Baptist Church. “Weldon knew Jesus and Jesus knew Weldon”.
Funeral services will be held at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Saturday May 9th, 2020, 10:00am with a visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral service.
