Bonnie Sue Jacobson's Obituary
A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. She fought a valiant fight against a relentless disease with dignity, love, and caring. Those same virtues that hallmarked her life made those close to her even more assured of her place in heaven.
Bonnie loved her friends and family. She found joy and laughter in all of her endeavors. Highly meticulous, her sewing and needlework were beautiful. She loved to ride and compete on horses. She had started riding as a project with her children, but as a result of her ever striving to improve herself and the world around her, she became the President of the Paint Horse Association. As an active member of the community she was a past president of the Gregg County Medical Auxiliary, was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Longview, as was on the board of Trinity School of Texas. Bonnie was born in Dallas, Texas on June 25, 1949 to the late Adolfo and Doris Gual.
She attended Justin F. Kimball High School and the University of Texas at Austin and LeTourneau University.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Edward Jacobson; daughter, Bonnie Claire Nelson; sons and daughter-in-law, Eric and Katie Jacobson and their daughter, Madison; brother, Don Gual; father-in-law, Marvin Jacobson; step-father and mother, Doc and Edie Combs; sisters and brother-in-law, Katie Clegg, Mary Wade and Tommy Wade; aunts and uncles, Judy and Merle Perrien, Margie Franklin, Jim and Delores Gual, Elmer and Peggy Gross; cousins, Jimmy and Judy Walker, Karen and Keith Freeman, Jimmy and Karen Gual; niece and nephew, Kristi and Trey Kirkpatrick and son, Kyler
And other family members throughout the state and in Mexico.
Memorial services will be 11:30 AM Monday, October 24, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Sparks officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
As surely as the harvest Moon of October 20, 2005 was not quite full, the gates of Heaven were still awaiting our sweet angel Bonnie that night. We love you and will miss you.
