Bonnie Quinn Phillips' Obituary
Bonnie Quinn Phillips, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt was born in Rural Shade, Texas on March 9, 1919, the daughter of E. S. and Juney Quinn. The youngest of nine children, she graduated from school in Kerens, Texas and she married James Ware Phillips on December 5, 1937.
She peacefully departed this world on October 21, 2002 after a courageous battle to live for many years.
Survived by two sisters, Etta Bradley and Nell Mayo; brother-in-law, Waymon Phillips and wife, Carmen; two sons, Lowell and James Phillips; grandson and wife, Scott Hodges and Elizabeth and twin baby great granddaughters, Lauren and Ashley, which she saw for the first time the day before her death.
She is also survived by very many nieces and nephews extending to the great , great status and was belovedly known as "Aunt Bonnie" to all.
Her life was conducted with extraordinary strength, determination and grace, well known to her many friends.
Accepting a role in life led her to a rare combination of humility, kindness, wisdom and humor.
She never complained and gave strength and admiration to all those she loved.
These traits and principles she practiced daily and gave her greatest joy when she could pass them on to others!
Strong devotion to her fellow members of White Oak Baptist Church, the White Oak community in general and her PILOT?S CLUB, she personally requested that any memorials in her name be devoted to those two entities.
She loved, was loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation and lunch will be held from 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM at the church.
Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at the White Oak Baptist Church with Reverend G. A. Stanfield and Mr. John C. Murphy, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
