Bonnie L. Sunkel's Obituary
Bonnie Sunkel, 87, passed away Thursday, April 1, in Weatherford, Texas. A lifelong resident of Longview, Bonnie had moved to the Fort Worth area to be close to her son, David Sunkel and his family. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Bonnie was born on April 10, 1922 in Gilmer, Texas. She was married 32 years to Bernard William Sunkel Jr., who preceded her in death in 1977. She remained a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview.
Bonnie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Cathy Sunkel of Weatherford; granddaughter and her husband Courtney and Michael Gilson of Fort Worth; sisters Mayrene Bland of Fairfield, Ca. and Mavonee Agan of Mt. Pleasant; brother and sister-in-law John and Francis Marr of Dallas; brother-in-law Robert Sunkel of Maryville, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Nancy Lynn Barrett and sisters Alma Marr and Mildred Ellison.
Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2010 at 12:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home.
