Bonnie Fay Godsey's Obituary
Bonnie Fay Godsey of Longview, Texas was born on Dec 19, 1931, in Nashville, AR to Gus and Era Osborn. She went home to be with Jesus on Feb 8, 2017. She retired after 35 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and enjoyed bringing breakfast treats to her Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents, and a brother J.D. Osborn Sr. and sister Doris Bradley. She is survived by her son, Joel McGuire of Longview, three granddaughters, Meredith Duffee and husband Brian, Melissa Montgomery and husband Brandon, and Megan McGuire, and their mother Gayla McGuire, 4 great granddaughters, and her sister and brother in law Sue and Travis Watson.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Memory Park Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Highland Park Home Health and the doctors and nurses at Christus Good Shepherd for their care. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Neal McCoy's East Texas Angel Network.
