Funeral services for Bonnie Gene Bauske Stewart of Longview, will be 2:00pm Thursday April 29, 2010 at the chapel of Rader funeral home in Longview with Pastor Terrell Laney Pearson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Bonnie Gene Watson Bauske Stewart went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2010. She was born in Snyder, Texas on October 9th to Exia and Leslie Watson. She grew up in El Paso, Texas where she had a loving childhood and graduated high school. She attended business school as a young woman in Dallas, Texas where she met her husband, Jack Bauske at a skating rink. They married and lived in Houston before moving to Longview in 1945. She lost her husband Jack in a house fire in 1976. Bonnie started BB Answering service 51 years ago in her home with one telephone. She has held offices of President and Executive Secretary of the Texas Association of Answering Services and was a member of the National Association of Answering Services. Bonnie has served as President of the Golden Light Chapter of the American Business Woman's Association.
Bonnie loved to dance and met her second husband William "Bill" Stewart in 1990 through her ballroom dancing. They enjoyed traveling and dancing until 2001 when Bill passed away. Bonnie continued dancing and spent most weekends RV'ing and Round / Square dancing. She was a member of three Square Dancing clubs and made many good friends with whom she enjoyed spending time.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters Vicki Bauske Farar and her husband Jim of Lake Cherokee, and Randi Bauske Ellison of Longview. Four grandchildren to whom she was known as "Mamagene" : Mindi Ellison Siegly of Longview, Terry Ellison of Dallas, Sunni Ellison Handy and her husband Luke of Longview, Jacki Farar Apligian and her husband Tommy of McKinney, Texas. She had 4 great grandchildren of which she was very proud: Colby Siegley, Cayson Siegley, Tori Gene Apligian and Kati Apligian. She is also survived by her beloved black poodle, Pepper.
