Bonnie McFarland
Bonnie McFarland, of Longview, joined our Lord and Savior on April 18, 2009. Bonnie passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Medical Center of Longview. She was born October 30, 1923 and had previously worked at the First National Bank of Longview.
In 1947, she married Reuben McFarland and they raised three sons. She enjoyed treasure hunting, semi precious gem and stone crafts and oil painting. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO and Arkansas. Bonnie was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at Winterfield United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Winterfield Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben McFarland; sister, Ruby Letz and brother Hollis Hisey.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, John Hisey of Rule, TX and Doyle Hisey and wife Clara of Dell City, OK; her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Julie McFarland of Oklahoma City, OK, Lynn and Amiee McFarland of Diana, TX and Lee and Sally McFarland of Addison, TX; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
