Bobby Jerry Weeden's Obituary
Funeral service for Bobby Weeden will be held at Lakeview Baptist Church on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1pm. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8pm at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Weeden went to be with the Lord in the early morning of Saturday, March 23, 2019 surrounded by his family.
An avid Astros fan, Bobby was born in Pittsburg TX on March 10, 1940 to parents Henry and Hattie Weeden. He married Linnie Weeden and soon started to work for 7eleven. After 16 years, Bobby retired from 7eleven, relocated to East Texas and opened a line of Speedy Pantry convenience stores. He had a love of people, and a love of Christ. Bobby spent over 30 years teaching Sunday school and as a Deacon for his churches.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hattie Weeden; his wife of over 50 years, Linnie Weeden; sister Julie Phillips, and brother Ray Weeden. Those left to cherish Bobby’s memory include his children Jessica Allen and her husband Kelly, Steve Weeden, and Joe Weeden and his wife Skye; grandchildren Haley and Zac Allen of Longview, Mary and Caleb Sweeney of Killeen, Walker and Annie Grace Weeden of Austin Emma and Riley Weeden from Fort Worth, and 4 great-grandchildren. Bobby will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
