Bobby Ray Lasyone's Obituary
Funeral services for Bobby Ray Lasyone, 69, of Longview, will be 4 PM Friday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Buddy Shelton and Jody Slaughter officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Lasyone died Monday evening at a local hospital.
Bobby was born February 8, 1939 in Montgomery, Louisiana and had lived in the Longview/ Kilgore area since 1950. He was retired from Gregg County maintenance and engineering department. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Pine Tree Masonic Lodge #1369, where he was past Master and Past Deputy Grand Master State of Texas Masons, Longview Elks Lodge 1128, where he was past Chairman of House Committee, Longview Eagles Lodge, where he was a trustee, and he held a life membership in the Waco Scottish Rite.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Lasyone, father: Otho Lasyone and brother: Joe Lasyone. He is survived by his daughters: Linda Spicer and husband Evan of Longview, Sharon Furlow and husband Richard of Warren, Tx., Susan Slaughter and husband Jody of New Waverly, Tx., and Paula Zummi and husband Joseph of Kamuela, HI.; grandchildren: Michael and Kelsely Bowdoin, Adam and Christopher Carr and Samuel and Simon Slaughter; mother: Christine Lasyone of Longview; sister: Martha Chavis and husband J.C. of Longview; special friend: Martha Gail Steele of Longview; number of other relatives.
