Bobby Lynn Dorsey's Obituary
Funeral services for Bobby Lynn Dorsey, 77, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2007, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson with Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Born November 24, 1929 in Henderson, Mr. Dorsey died Monday, August 20, 2007 at a New London Nursing Home. He was retired from GTE Verizon Company after 34 years of service and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He had been a member of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club and the Radio Bible Class.
Mr. Dorsey was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict in the early 1950?s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murrell and Martha Dorsey; a son, Bobby Lynn Dorsey, Jr., and a brother Bill Dorsey.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 54 years, Peggy Dorsey of Henderson; one son Kipper Dorsey and his wife Linda; grandchildren, Robert Matthew Dorsey, John William Dorsey and Catherine Grace Dorsey, all of Rockwall.
Pallbearers will be Matt Dorsey, John Dorsey, Bobby Saul, Norris Hudgins, Randy House, and Jim McCain.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
