Dr. Bobby J. Farrow
Dr. Bobby J. Farrow, 71 of Longview went to meet his Lord on Friday, December 7, 2007. Dr. Farrow passed away peacefully at his residence.
Dr. Farrow was a clinical psychologist who spent his life serving those with mental health problems. Dr. Farrow was the co-founder of the psychology department at the University of Notre Dame. He spent his later years assisting Veterans of the American Armed Services at the Department of Veterans affairs as a clinical psychologist. He served on the staff of the Meninger Foundation of Topeka, Kansas.
Dr. Farrow was born June 6, 1936 to Jim Farrow and Opal Osteen Colley in DeRidder, Louisana.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday December 9, 2007 from 6pm until 8 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Two O?clock pm Monday December 10, 2007 at Rosewood Park with Robert Johnson officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Dr. Farrow is survived by his wife Cathy Farrow of Longview, son Josh Laman and Mike Sellers of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Rick Farrow of Austin, TX.; daughter, Kathryn Suzanne Reed of Houston, brother, Daryl Glen?Bo? Farrow , grandchildren, Paul and Bobby Reed, Sebastian and Isabella Laman, and Morisyn Whitworth Sellers. Dr. Farrow was a beloved husband, treasured father, a revered clinician, and a much-loved ?Pop?
