Bobby Gerald Raper's Obituary
Funeral services for Bobby Gerald Raper, 70, of Lake Cherokee, will be Noon Wednesday, November 13, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview with Reverend Johnnie Lindsey officiating.
Bobby died Monday morning at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born July 3, 1932 in Maxey, Texas to Sammie and Lorene Raper.
Bobby had been a resident of the area since 1982 coming from Lubbock, TX. and had served his country in the US Navy. He was in the first graduating class from
South Plains College in Levelland, TX and was a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
He was a CPA and retired in 1994 from Bronstadt, Habenicht Rosson in Kilgore.
Military graveside services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2002 at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 3 PM.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Nell ; daughters, Linda Raper Sease of Cincinnati, OH, Marla Raper O?Connor of Bedford, TX; grandchildren, Beth Sease of Boulder, CO, Sam Sease of Phoenix, AZ , Taylor & Savannah O?Connor , both of Bedford, TX; sister & brother-in-law, Janie and Merle Parker of Mineola, TX.
The family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Elderville Volunteer Fire Department and EMTs, 8875 FM 2011 East, Longview, Texas 75603 ;
Trinity Baptist Church, P.O. Box 8286, Longview, Texas 75607 or Helping Hands, Lake Cherokee.
