Bobby Gene Hustead's Obituary
Bobby G. Hustead, 79, of White Oak, passed away on Dec. 30, 2006 after a long battle with cancer .He was born Jan.14, 1927 in Navarro , Texas to the late Dorsey and Jessie Mae Hustead.
He is survived by, Colleen, his devoted wife of 56 years.Bobby is preceded in death by two sisters Joan Wilson and Jimmie Hagler, both of Longview.
He is a graduate of Kilgore College and the University of Oklahoma.
He was in the U.S Navy from 1944-1946 where he served as a machinist mate 3rd class. He was then employed by East Texas Salt Water of KIlgore where he retired after 46 years.Since then , he has enjoyed going to auctions, working in his machine shop at home, being around his many privileged dogs and cats and visiting with friends at the Circle W Cafe in White Oak.
He leaves behind several nieces and nephews which include Vicki Downing, Wayne Hagler, Linda Sweeks, Carole Black all of Longview , Pam Brewer of Forney, Sharon Pierce of Beaumont, Larry Wilson of Lake Bob Sandlin and Sheila Burke of Plano.
Bob also leaves behind many special friends including Lane Jordan of Kilgore and Phil Fleming of White Oak.
Visitation will be held on Monday Jan. 1 , 2007 at Rader Funeral Home of Longview from 3 pm-5 pm. The graveside services will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home at 5000 W. Harrison Road on Tuesday Jan.2, 2007 at 1:00 pm.
