Bobby Eugene Akin, JR's Obituary
Graveside services for Bobby Eugene Akin, JR, 56, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Grace Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Don Ross and Ricky Baker officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Akin passed away Tuesday night in a local hospital. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on July 9, 1954 in Longview Texas to Bobby and Peggy Akin. He was married to Terry Lynn Summers on March 19, 1975. He worked as a welder for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Eugene Akin, SR.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Terry Akin of Longview; his mother, Peggy Akin of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Matt Whittle of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Desmond Russell of Longview; daughter, Amanda Buchanan of Longview; son, Bobby Akin of Gilmer, Texas; sons, Jesse and Jason Selman of Palestine, Texas; sister, Cheryl Muegge of Longview; brother, Charles Akin of Longview; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
