Bobby Cox's Obituary
Bobby Cox was born in Texarkana, TX on January 5, 1935 to Jeff and Dora Cox, and passed away on December 4, 2015 in Longview, TX.
Bobby graduated from Queens City High school and soon after enlisted in the Air Force for which he served for many years. After his service he moved to California and worked for the City of Los Angeles Water and Power. After retiring he moved back to Texas and started a remolding business BCC Construction. His hobbies were working hard and building model train layouts. Bobby always found the time to be a prankster, telling jokes and many a story. He truly never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was a very blessed and loved man.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Dora Cox and his brothers; Jeff, Jesse and Joel Cox. He is survived by his wife Liz, his sons Allen Jacobs of Florida, and Eric Cox of Longview, his daughter Kimberly Nelson of Longview and step-daughter Lisa Colley of Lavon, TX. He is survived by his four sisters; Dean Lacy of Longview, Dolores Ann Stone of Longview, Lois Zinnoman of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and Cora Draper of Wills Point, TX. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services for Bobby Cox will be Tuesday, December 8 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview at 2pm, visitation will be Monday evening between 6 and 8 pm at Rader Funeral Home.
