Bobbie was born March 4, 1927, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to JR “Bob” and Sarah Chamlee Moseley and passed away on January 25, 2019. She moved to Longview with her family in 1932 at the start of the Oil Boom and lived in Longview the rest of her life, with the exception of two years spent in California where her son, Royce, was born. She was a dedicated and faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Longview, her entire life. She served as a teacher for junior age and teens and was in the music program of the church, playing the piano and/or organ, and singing in the choir.
Bobbie met Bill, her husband of 57 years, in 1952, after he moved here from Gate City, Virginia. Bill passed away on May 10, 2009, on their 57th wedding anniversary.
She was employed by J. R. Dunaway Rig and Lumber Company for a period of time in 1950. She later worked thirteen plus years for R. G. LeTourneau Plant and for Superior Manufactured Homes for over eight years. After the death of her mother, in 1990, she worked part-time for Pat Randall in her secretarial service office. Bobbie was a volunteer at the Pine Tree Lodge Nursing Home for a number of years assisting with and then presenting a Bible Study for the residents on a weekly basis.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Bill, her son Royce Wyatt, her parents, Bob and Sarah Moseley, sisters, Edith Whatley, husband Travis, Doris Freeland, all of Longview, great-granddaughter Bebe Bishop, great-great-granddaughter Delanie McCormick, as well as her faithful dog companion, Casper.
Those left to cherish their memories of her are, granddaughters Holly Bishop and husband Greg, of Tyler, Texas, Mary Loran Foster and husband Kevin, of Warsaw, Ohio, great-grandson Logan Bishop, great-granddaughter Scarlet Bishop, both of Tyler, Texas, Lexi McCormick and husband Josh, Loran Butcher and husband Jacob, and Grace Flanagan, and four great-great-grandchildren, all of Warsaw, Ohio. Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Annette Tipton, Mary Shivers, Peggy Bruner and husband Maxie, all of Longview, and Karol Tipton of Seattle, Washington. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobbie wrote her obituary many years ago, which is what you read above. What she failed to include was her love and service to Jesus, and dedication to the First Church of the Nazarene, her entire life. Her faith was unwavering and she was the embodiment of a true Christian. She was so very proud of her all of her family, protective and loved all of them unconditionally and consistently. Bobbie was kind, funny, sweet, thoughtful and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
