Funeral services for Bobbie Jane Reese, 71, of Longview will be held at Two O?clock pm Tuesday May 31, 2005 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Scott Schulik and Reverend Leon Veazey officiating. Interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Reese passed away Saturday May 28, 2005 in Longview.
She was born January 13, 1934 in Panola County, Texas. She had resided in Longview most of her life, she was the daughter of Minnie Lee Brightwell and Harold ?Bob? Cordray. She was a graduate of Hallsville High School and was football Sweetheart. She worked at the First National Bank in Longview for thirty years before her retirement, she had been promoted to supervisor over the tellers and she was a faithful employee, and she loved all of her customers that she served. She also loved bluegrass music and doing Genealogy. Following her retirement in 1989 she and her husband Frank drove to Alaska and experienced their dream Retirement Vacation. Bobbie and her husband Frank were both involved during the start and success of Gum Springs Water Supply. She also volunteered as church treasurer at Little Flock Baptist Church for seven years, she had a warm place in her heart for the Joy Sunday School Class at Mobberly for they were there when she needed them most.
The family would like to express a special thanks to all the doctor?s and nurses who helped Bobbie during her illness.
She is survived by her husband, Frank L. Reese, of Longview, TX. sister, Mary Eason and husband Jerrold of Southaven, MS.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday May 30, 2005 from 3 pm until 5 pm.
