Bob Mings' Obituary
A memorial visitation for Bob Mings , 73, of Longview will be held 4 to 6 PM Saturday, September 25th at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Mr. Mings died Wednesday , September 22nd at a local hospice facility following a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born February 19, 1931 in the Monroe Community in Rusk County to Claude R. and Ouida M. Lawrence. He was a graduate of Kilgore High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Mings was an oilfield equipment salesman and a member of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Rex Mings; brother, Rex Junior Mings; mother, Ouida May McFarland; and sister, Addie Jean English. Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Steve Camp of Longview; his son, Emmett Bob Mings, Jr. of Longview; a granddaughter and her husband, Shannon and Jim Reinhardt of Roundrock; grandsons: Bradley Gary of Longview and Aaron Gary of Austin; granddaughter, Katie Camp of College Station; grandson, Michael Mings of Spokane, Washington; two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Julie Reinhardt; sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and Tommy Stone of Liberty City; brother and sister-in-law, John Wesley and Gail Lawrence of Hartwell, Georgia; and brother, Charlie McFarland of Friendswood.
Other special loved ones are: Dee and R.C. Judy of Longview; Judy Mings of Kilgore and her son, Ron Horne; Judy?s daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Charlie Anders and their children, Shawn and Shane Grubbs and Shelby Anders, all of Kilgore; and special friends, Baron Clements, Bob McKinnon, and Paul Causey.
