Funeral services for Bob J, Cippele, Sr., 76, of Longview will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 17th at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Zumwalt officiating. Private interment was at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Bob died Tuesday, December 9th at a Gilmer care center.
He was born January 25, 1932 in Longview to Alfred J. and Maurine Bumpas Cippele. Bob graduated from White Oak High School in 1949, attended Kilgore College, and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from East Texas State University in Commerce. Bob served honorably in the United States Army 1953 – 1955. He was a long-time member of the Advisory Board for Austin Bank and was an independent oil and gas operator.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Hunter Cippele. He is survived by his wife, Benette Shelton Cippele; his sons and daughters-in-law, Bob Cippele, Jr. and Cheryl of Longview and Rick Cippele and Susan of Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Robin Williamson and Bruce of Carrollton; grandchildren, Grey Cippele, U.S.M.C., Kate and Emily Cippele of Austin and Miranda Williamson of Carrollton; step-grandchildren, Stephany Smith and husband, Reggie of Van Alstyne, Brandy Wilson of Denison, Dusty Wells and husband, Craig of Van Alstyne; seven step-grandchildren; sisters, Janie Jones and Joyce Dean of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Martha Zumwalt and Jerry, Milly Ward and Dan all of Tulsa, and Janis Johnson of Weatherford; brothers-in-law and their wives, Bill Shelton and Ann, Ben Shelton and Wanda all of Wichita Falls; numerous nieces and nephews
