Billy Wayne Adams' Obituary
Services for Billy Wayne Adams, 65, of Kilgore will be 2 PM Wednesday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, Longview, with Reverend James Henderson officiating and assisted by J. T. Hogue. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Welch, Dan Dalton, Harold Brewer, Jack Casida, Bobby Boyett, Tommy Craver, Bonnie Jones and Gary Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Washburn and Ken Turner.
Mr. Adams was born November 13, 1937 in Kilgore, Texas and died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Gaw, sister, Mabel Sue Evans and grand-parents, Jep and Sudie ?Mama Sue? Adams, who raised him.
He retired from Stroh Brewery in 1986 and was self employed until 1998. He was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church in Kilgore.
Mr. Adams is survived by his devoted wife: Shirley of 29 years, Stepson and daughter in law: Charlie and Sheila Hayes of Cincinnati, Ohio; Step Daughters and sons in law: Debra and Jerry McDowell of Longview, Cynthia and Steve Blankenship of White Oak; Step Grand-son and wife: Joey and Audrey Long of Pasadena; Mother in Law: Maye Belle Hogue of Harleton; Sisters in law and spouses: Chris and Bob Fouts of Longview, Daisy and Gavin Murray and Lois and Jessie Thomas of Harleton, Alice Mitchell of Big Sandy; Brothers in law and Spouses: Hollis and Jude Hogue of Anchorage, Alaska, J. T. and Wanda Hogue of Harleton; Special Friend: Bennie Parrent of Ore City and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank friends and family for their prayers and loving support. A special heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care from Hospice Longview.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday evening at Rader Funeral Home.
