Billy Bruce McCranie's Obituary
Billy Bruce McCranie, age 79, of Longview Texas, passed away on Jan 21, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 25, 1945, to William Elwood and Vonnie Virginia McCranie in Valdosta, Georgia.
Billy was married to JoAnn McCranie, his loving wife of 59 years. He is survived by his wife JoAnn, his daughter Kimberly McCranie Poore and her husband Kelly Glenn Poore, granddaughter Landry Virginia Poore, and his grandson Sawyer Glenn Poore, also of Longview.
Billy graduated from Longview High School in 1963. He attended North Texas University. He owned B & J Equipment until his retirement in 2007. He was an avid quail hunter and fisherman. He was beyond generous and kind to all those who knew him. He loved his family, friends, his precious dog Bella, and the Texas Longhorns.
At his request, there will be no funeral/memorial services. Information on a Celebration of Life will be shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope’s Closet, Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, HWY 80 Rescue Mission, or a charity of your choice.
