Billy C. Minor Sr.
Services for Billy C. ?Moose?
Minor Sr. will be held at noon
Saturday, January 6, 2007, at
Rader Funeral Home of Longview,
with his son, David
Minor officiating.
Billy, beloved husband,
father, ?PaPaw,? and friend,
left us to be with our Savior on
January 3, 2007.
He was born June 18, 1931, to
Zelma Pearl and Ralph Emerson
Minor, who preceded him
in death.
We are so grateful that God
spared him to us for two-and-a
half years after his heart
attack. Even though he could
no longer bowl or fish, he could
still make the trip to Jo?s for
coffee and to visit with friends.
Billy loved bowling and was
vice president, past director,
and lifetime member of Longview
MBA. He was also in the
Hall of Fame. Billy retired from
the telephone company after 34
years of service, during such
time, he received several perfect
attendance awards. He
was a member of Mobberly
Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents,
his brothers, Ralph, James,
and Raymond, also preceded
him in death.
Billy is survived by his loving
and devoted wife,
Claudelle, whom he loved with
all his heart. He also leaves his
?#1 son,? as he affectionately
called him, Billy C. Minor Jr.
and his wife, Kitty, and their
children and grandchildren:
Billy Don Minor and wife, Carolyn
with Christopher, Melinda
and Brian; John Minor and
wife, Kelie with Bryan and Jeremy;
Laci Minor and Andy
Stevens with Cheyenne Stevens
and Kaleigh Minor; Constance
Hudson with Bailey; Brandy
Irby with Trinity; and Heath
Sanders and wife, Tiffany with
Alexia; his ?#2 son,? David
Minor and wife Patti, and their
children and granddaughter:
Josh Minor and wife, Lisa; and
Holli Hampton with Hannah
Grace Hampton; his ?#3 son,?

and his ?little daughter,?
LeAnne Plunkett and husband,
Perry Plunkett, and their children
and grandchildren, Marc
Hickey with Kendall Windmus
and Alex; Sara and Emily Plunkett;
and Christi Witt with
D?Azia.
We all loved our PaPaw!
Also surviving Billy are his
sister, Joyce Carroll; sister,
Darlene and husband, Alvin
Pliler; sisters-in-law, Virginia
Minor of Longview, and Mary
Farrell of Rockwall; and
brother-in-law, Claude Wilkerson
Jr. and wife, Pat of Rockwall.
There are also a number
of nieces and nephews he held
dear, and they loved their ?Uncle
Billy.? He had many valued
friends as well.
Special thanks go to Dr. Pierson,
Dr. Leatherman, Louis
Morgan Drug No. 4, and all the
emergency personnel who
cared for Billy on Wednesday,
January 3, 2007.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jr.,
David, Mark, John, Eric, and
Josh Minor; Perry Plunkett;
and Andy Stevens.
