Billy G. Brown's Obituary
Dr. Billy G. Brown, 83, of Henderson, Texas passed away on December 11th.
Bill was born in 1937 to Carl and Charlene Brown in Hughes Springs, Texas. After graduating high school, he attended Southern Methodist University and Baylor Dental School.
After graduating from Dental school and completing his residency with the US Air Force in Biloxi, Mississippi, he moved his family to Henderson, Texas where he proudly served his community as a dentist from 1966 to 2016.
After his retirement, he spent time hunting, fishing, attending events that his grandchildren were involved in, and spending time with his wife, Eddie.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Charlene Brown, his son Bradley Wayne Brown, and stepson Blake Bryant Bailey. He is survived by his wife Eddie Brown, son Bret Brown and his wife Rebecca of Houston, Texas, daughter Dana Fergerson and her husband Billy of Tyler, Texas, step-daughter Carey Anderson and her husband Eric of Kilgore, Texas. Grandchildren include Alex Fergerson of Chicago, IL, Courtney Compton and her husband Blake of Ben Wheeler, Texas, Jacob Brown and Joshua Brown of Houston, Texas, Landon McElyea of Kilgore, Texas. Bill was also expecting his first great grandchild Ava Elizabeth Compton in 2021.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.
Bill will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and former patients. In honor of Bill’s love of animals, the family requests that donations to the Henderson Animal Shelter be made in lieu of flowers.
