Billie Hays Roberson
Funeral services for Billie Hays Roberson, 82, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville with the Reverend Brian Brooks officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roberson was born March 5, 1933, in Hallsville, TX to Alvah and Georgia Hays and passed away October 15, 2015 in a Longview nursing facility. She was a lifetime resident of the Longview and Hallsville area. She was a former beautician and was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frankie Roberson; and brother, Doyle Ray Hays.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Johnson of Longview; her sister, Mary Rascoe of Longview; niece, Gloria Tebo of Longview; great nephews, Michael and John David Cox; great niece, Candice Blanco-Damele; cousins, Mary Margaret Miller and Mike Miller; and her longtime friend, Wanda Costa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the M S Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, to the March of Dimes or to the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville.
