Billie Parr's Obituary
Billie Faye Croley Parr, 89, of Longview, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Spring Hill First Baptist Church, Longview, Texas. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Wayne Spanhanks officiating. A private family burial will be in Monticello, Texas at Monticello Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
Billie was born October 5, 1934, in Talco, Texas, to James E. Croley and Lois Lee Croley. She married Henry Delton Parr on December 9, 1950. They had four sons and one daughter. Henry Delton Parr, Jr., Pamela Gay Parr Trice, Joey Randall Parr, Howard Daniel Parr and Christopher Clayburn Parr.
Billie was a cosmetologist who owned and operated Billie's Beauty Shop for several decades. She then retired and began employment with Spring Hill I.S.D. as a paraprofessional.
Billie (Mamaw) was the ultimate grandmother. She was always up to hit the road with her beloved grandchildren, taking them on all sorts of escapades, adventures, camping trips, shopping for candy, treats, toys and art supplies. She did whatever their little hearts desired, leaving behind a trail of lifelong memories.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 plus years, Delton; son, Junior (Henry Delton Parr, Jr); father, James Croley; mother, Lois Croley; brothers, Charlie Croley, Jimmy Croley, Johnny Croley, David Croley; sisters, Sandra Cain and Patricia Croley.
She is survived by her children; Pam (husband Joe), Joey (wife Gail), Danny (wife Jennifer) and Chris (wife Becky). Grandchildren; Amber Morgan (husband Chris), Joseph Trice, Jake Trice, Lacie King (husband Scott), Chad Parr, Danny Parr Jr. (wife Erin), Michael Parr, and Skye Parr (fiance' Kaloni Kirby). Great Grandchildren; Emily Fiedler (fiance' Aaron Peil), Jackson Lucas, Julie Lucas, Scarlett Trice, Jane Trice, Judah Trice, Amethy Trice, Austin King, Avery King, Henry Parr, Marita Parr, Michael Parr Jr., Ava Parr and Adonis Kirby. Sister; Linda Bradley, Brother-in-law; Douglas Cain, Sister-in-law; JoJo Parr and nieces and nephews. Extended family; James Lucas, Andrea Trice and Lauren Trice.
Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Trice, Jake Trice, Danny Parr Jr., Michael Parr and Chad Parr.
The family would like to thank the staff of Wesley House in Gilmer, Texas, as well as Traditions Hospice.
