She was a very special quilting buddy, enjoy the time we had together,
Praying that you will be surrounded by God's comforting love and filled with the peace that only He can give. Thinking of you with heartfelt sympathy--Billie was a special friend and excellent educator. She was the principal for our three children Leslie, Jan, and Scott, and I taught her daughter Debbie. I got to know Billie better while visiting with her at Retired Teachers each month. We will keep you in our prayers. Love,Nina and Tommy McDaniel
When I first started to work at the school 35 yrs ago, Mrs. Martin was the principal.
She was such and inspiration to me. I had never worked in the school environment and she had many words of wisdom to help me get started and along the way.
I am so glad I had the honor to know her and work with her.
Sincerely
Phyllis Harrell
My family was fortunate to know Mrs Martin from church and school. I was blessed to have her as my fourth grade teacher. When I had read all the books in our classroom library, she came up with a solution....She let me read her high school and college books! She told my mother....that child LOVES to read! How wonderful to have a teacher with such faith in me and my abilities! I will always have such loving memories of her...what a wonderful person to have in your life. Every life she touched will forever miss her.

Mrs Martin was my first principal at Hallsville. She was great with staff, parents, and the students of Hallsville. I remember her recipe books we got at Christmas, and I still have them. I will miss her smile and humor! Janice McAntyre
To the family,
I, like many others, had the deepest respect and admiration for Mrs. Martin. She was one of a kind, plain spoken, and wise. People were drawn to her common sense and her personality. I am grateful to have known her professionally and as a mom with a child in her school. Many beautiful tributes have been written about Mrs. Martin, and all were well deserved. We need more people like Billie Martin in this world.
May God bless all who mourn her passing.
