Billie Louise Clifton-Griffith's Obituary
Funeral services for Billie Louise Clifton Griffith, age 77, of Henderson will be held Wednesday January 23, 2008 at 10:00am at the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Simmons and Rev. Kyle Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Griffith passed away Sunday January 20, at the Howeth House in Mt. Enterprise
Mrs. Griffith was born August 7, 1930 in Mt. Enterprise and was a lifelong resident of the county. She was a retired manager from Dollar General Store in Henderson, and had served as manager of several other Dollar General Stores in East Texas. She was a member of the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the ladies auxiliary
Mrs. Griffith was also a member of the Pine Hill Chapter of the Eastern Star.
She loved cooking for her loved ones and taking care of her 3 great grandbabies.
Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her two husbands T.D. Clifton and David E. Griffith, her parents Charlie F. and Mae E Brooks, sister Erbal Edwards, and brother John D. Pete Brooks.
She is survived by her son Rodney Clifton and wife Brenda of Henderson, granddaughter Missy Cannon and husband Justin of Henderson, and grandson David Clifton and wife Janet of Henderson, sons David B. Griffith and wife Terrie of Gilmer, Randy Griffith and wife Cheryl of Minden, and Donny Griffith and wife Deana of Henderson, also grandchildren Sarah, Ben, Chance, Drew, Delane Griffith, and Clint Parton.
She has one surviving brother Charlie F. Brooks and wife Vivian of Hattisburg, Ms., and great grandchildren Reese, Peyton and Olivia. There are also many nieces and nephews surviving.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Fred Welch, Joe Watts, Dan Cates, Chance Griffith, Drew Griffith, and David Rousseau, honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday night at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Zion Hill Cemetery Association at 7868 CR 374, Henderson, Texas 75654
