Bill Sullivan's Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bill Sullivan, 68, of Longview, at 2 PM Thursday at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with Father Suresh Samalia as celebrant. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.
Mr. Sullivan died Sunday, May 16, 2004 in a local medical center.
Bill was born February 16, 1936 in Batesville, Mississippi to William Allen and Alice Logan Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan worked in the natural gas field for Southern Cross, a subsidiary of the Spear Group of Norcross, Georgia, and served his country in Germany, Korea and Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Allen Sullivan, II; four brothers, one sister and his parents.
Bill is survived by his wife of almost 37 years, Rita Lock Sullivan of Longview; children,
Bobbie Joyce and husband, John Knudsen of Jacksonville, Florida, Rita Kay and husband, Tommy Banks of Hamlet, North Carolina, Betty Louise Sullivan of Carnegie, Oklahoma, Ralph Billie and wife Barbara Sullivan of Clarksville, Georgia; brothers, Ed and wife, Joyce Sullivan of Wilmington, Illinois, Jimmy R. and wife, Vera Sullivan of Vicksburg, Mississippi; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Lock of Germany and Joyce Sullivan of Batesville, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
