Funeral services for Bill Poole, age 80 of Henderson, will be held Monday May 25, 2009 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Richard Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in Rusk County Memorial Gardens..
Mr. Poole passed away at 3:20pm Friday May 22, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bill Poole was born June 28, 1928 in Henderson, he retired from Champion Paper Mill in Houston after 38 years as a locomotive operator. Bill loved his church and church family at Trinity Baptist where he was a member for 18 years, and served as a deacon..
He was preceded in death by his parents Lee M. and Ezzie Poole, and brothers Olen, Oscar and Joe Poole.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Jean Poole of Henderson,; sons Ricky Poole & wife Jan of Houston, Doyle Poole & wife Paulette of Henderson, David Poole & wife Tyra of Henderson, and host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Ray Poole and sister Reube Jean Dowden of New London.
Pallbearers will be Bill Poole, James Poole, Josh Poole, Cody Moyers, Johnny Poole and Mark Dowden. Honorary Pallbearers will be lifetime friend Jake Bradley, and the Deacons of the Trinity Baptist Church.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 2pm – 4pm Sunday.
