Bill Hays' Obituary
Graveside services for Bill Hays , age 92 of Henderson, will be held Thursday April 5, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. Bill Kuykendall and Rev. Frank Lane officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Hays was born March 10, 1926 in Minden to George and Clera Hays and died Tuesday April 3, 2018 in U.T. Health Hospital Henderson.
He was preceded in death by a son Tim Hays, his parents, and a nephew Jerry Jones of Henderson. He was retired from Rusk County where he was Pct. 4 foreman, He was a veteran of the US Army where he served in 82nd Air Borne Glider Division, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his wife of 72 years Nell Hays of Henderson, daughter in law Julie Hays of Round Rock, grandson Christopher Matthew Hays of Round Rock, sister Barbara Jones of Henderson, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ray Batchelor, Mitch Norman, Rex Norman, Steve Wilkes, Gene Jones, and Chaney Howeth. Honorary pallbearer will be Jack Keith.
