Bill Gene Williams
A Celebration of Life for Bill Gene Williams, 59, of Longview, will be 11 AM Thursday, October 25, at Alpine Cemetery, Longview, with Reverend David Reeder officiating. Interment will follow services in Alpine Cemetery with Rader Funeral Home, Longview, in charge of services. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 24, from 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Williams passed away Sunday, October 21.
A native of Longview, Bill was born March 6, 1953 and graduated from Longview High School in 1971. He was proud to be a member of the Lobo football team and followed them through the years. He also played football for Kilgore College and the University of Tulsa. He was a graduate of the East Texas Police Academy and served as a peace officer for several years. Bill was retired as a scheduler in oil field services.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Chris Williams. Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Paula Rogers and husband Tim of Jefferson, TX and Claire Koonce and husband Kevin of White Oak, TX, nephew, Ryan Rogers and wife Rebekah of Longview and niece, Haley Koonce of White Oak.
The family wishes to say Thank You to the Texas Home Health Hospice for the loving care given to Bill and the family.
