Bhavesh R. Patel's Obituary
Bhavesh Randhirbhai Patel, age 44, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on May 23, 1981, in Navsari, India, and moved to the United States at the age of two. He spent his childhood and early teenage years living on Skillman Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey, a place that shaped many of his earliest memories. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, deeply loved by all who knew him.
Bhavesh later moved to Texas and settled in Longview with his mother and father, where he attended Longview High School and found his chosen family. It was there that he formed friendships that would last a lifetime. He went on to attend Kilgore College, continuing his journey of growth and self direction.
Bhavesh had a deep love for New York City and its energy. From an early age, he showed strong entrepreneurial skills, finding ways to earn money through small business efforts while navigating the city with ease. These early experiences reflected his independence, confidence, and comfort moving through the world on his own terms.
After completing his education, Bhavesh made Longview his home, where he built his adult life and became a proud longtime resident. Longview was where many came to know him best and where he remained deeply connected to his community.
Bhavesh spent many years working with America Online, where he built meaningful professional relationships and gained valuable experience. Later, he worked alongside his mother managing the family business, the Lone Star Motel, and eventually took over its operations when she retired.
At the heart of Bhavesh’s life was his love for family and the deep, enduring friendships he formed. Wherever he went, he built strong and lasting connections. He had a rare ability to connect with people in a genuine and meaningful way, creating bonds that spanned decades and distance. From his childhood in Jersey City to his life in Longview, his friendships were rooted in loyalty, trust, and shared history. For Bhavesh, family was not limited to blood. It was defined by love, commitment, and presence.
Bhavesh will be remembered for his witty, sarcastic sense of humor and the effortless way he could make those around him laugh. He had a big heart and loved deeply, always showing up for the people he cared about. He shared an especially close bond with his best friend, Cody Yoder, and Cody’s family, whom Bhavesh loved as if they were his own. He loved music, took great pride in his sneaker collection, and enjoyed collecting and trading cards. These passions brought him joy and were part of what made him uniquely himself.
Bhavesh was preceded in death by his father, Randhirbhai Patel. He is survived by his loving mother, Shashiben Patel; his sisters, Dipti Patel and Nipu Patel; his brother in law, Dhaval Patel; and his beloved nephew and niece, Gavan Patel and Arya Patel. He shared an especially deep and meaningful bond with Gavan and Arya, whom he loved more than anything in the world. Being their uncle brought him immense pride and joy.
