Beverly Lee Thompson's Obituary
Memorial services for Beverly Beck Thompson, 74, of Longview, will be 10 AM Saturday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, Longview, with Reverend Dewayne Beaty officiating
Mr. Thompson passed away Thursday morning in a local hospital.
Mr. Thompson was born August 28, 1930 in Sikeston, Missouri. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1954. He retired from his job as a safety engineer for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri in 1985.
Papa, as he was known to his family, was a beloved son, father and grandfather. In his retirement he was an avid traveler. He spent his last years at his home on Barkley Lake near Cadiz, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bevly Thompson, and a brother Allen Wayne Thompson and is survived by his mother, Blanche Thompson; daughters and sons-in-laws: Debbie and Mark Schulze of Pascagoula, Mississippi and Connie and Steve Angle of St. Louis, MO.; Son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Marilyn Thompson of Longview; grandchildren Greg, Scott, Catherine and John Schulze, Elizabeth and Christopher Angle and Renee, Lauren and Jeffrey Thompson.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Cancer Society.
