Graveside services for Betty Taylor Pierce, 68, a lifetime resident of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at the Gum Springs Cemetery with the Reverend Merrell Brooks officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. She passed away Monday, June 6, in a local nursing facility.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pierce was born November 17, 1936 in Longview to W. M. and Bertha Winn Taylor. She was the longtime owner and operator of the Hello Gorgeous Beauty Salon. After her retirement, she became an avid gardener and landscaper. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church
Those left to cherish her memory are her longtime companion, Earl Partain of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Charlotte Hemby of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Kay Taylor of California; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Ira Sharp of Pittsburg, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
