Betty Jo Walker Schneider's Obituary
Graveside services for Betty Jo Walker Schneider, 82, of Longview, formerly of Hughes Springs, will be held at 3 PM Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with Brother Worley officiating. Mrs. Schneider passed away Thursday morning in a local hospital. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 – 3 PM prior to the service.
Betty was born on May 23, 1934 in Hughes Springs to Frank and Lennis Walker. She was raised in Hughes Springs and owned and operated the Fashion Shop there for many years. She loved going camping with her husband and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Schneider; her parents; and two brothers, Hershell Walker and Harold Walker.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Barnie Rowe; her brother Billy Walker and his wife Linda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Gleaner Baptist Church, 1201 Texas Highway 8, Linden, TX 75563.
