Betty Misenheimer's Obituary
Memorial Services for Betty Gill Meisenheimer, 73 will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Alpine Church of Christ with Rodney Cox officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Signal Hill Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas on Wednesday, June 15th, at 11:00 a.m.
Betty was born January 11, 1938, in Luber, Arkansas, and died June 12, 2011, in Longview, Texas. She was a faithful member of Alpine Church of Christ for over 40 years.
Betty received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arkansas and a Master's Degree from the University of Central Arkansas. She worked in the Longview School District as a teacher and counselor for 30 years. For the past 11 years, she has volunteered with the Good Shepherd Hospital Auxiliary. Betty served as leader and advisor of a ladies group for 15 years at Alpine Church of Christ.
Betty blessed our lives with her infinite wisdom, selfless service and gentle guidance. She demonstrated her love and devotion to her heavenly Father in everything she did and leaves behind a legacy of faith that will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Her sweet spirit and loving counsel will be missed by all those who called her "Mom". She loved us well – We loved her well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Lester N. Gill, a brother, Lester A. Gill and sister, Mable Avey.
Survivors include her brother Sam Gill of Mountain View, Arkansas, and long-time companion, Charles Campbell of Avinger, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, June 13th, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
The family would like to especially thank Kenneth Campbell for all the love and support he has shown Betty over the years.
