Betty Lou Miller's Obituary
Betty Lou Miller age 78 of White Oak passed away at home on January 24, 2016.
She was born to Kelsey and Autrey Matthews April 13, 1937, in Beaumont, TX.
Betty grew up in Winona and Spring Hill, and she graduated from Spring Hill High School then attended East Texas State University.
Betty was a hard working woman. She worked at Texas Eastman then became a working partner for Lawyers Title Agency. Later she entered the banking industry and worked for, and retired from, First Service Bank. Being the loving wife she was, she then spent the next 15 years caring for her husband of 50 years James “Sonny” Miller until his passing in March of 2007. Betty was a long time member of East Mountain Baptist and New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Mark Miller and his wife Leigh Ann and Ken Miller; sister Kay Matthews Stuth and her husband Jim, brother in law Bert Miller and his wife Wanda, sister in law Mary Ann Palmer and her husband Tools, two granddaughters Katy and Kelli Miller and several nieces and nephews. Betty’s husband, James “Sonny” Miller, her parents Kelsey and Autrey Matthews, and mother in law Lois Miller all precede her in passing.
There will be Graveside services 2pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in the mausoleum at Rosewood Park in Longview. Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 5pm-7pm Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the personnel at Texas Home Health Hospice and a special thanks to care givers Betty Williams, Elaine Medlin, Betty Soules, Louise Arps and Betty Trice for all their loving care.
