Betty W. McCarthy's Obituary
Graveside service for Betty McCarthy will be held at Memory Park on Saturday, August 4 at 9am. There will be a time of visitation on Friday at Rader Funeral Home of Longview from 6-8 pm. Betty went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Betty was born on January 5, 1951 in Shreveport LA to parents Robert and Lela Walker. She was a mother, grandmother, and loving wife to her family; and her family was what mattered most to her.
When her children were younger, Betty enjoyed fishing and camping trips to Lake of the Pines. She had a childlike love for Christmas, birthdays and getting together with family. This is how they choose to remember her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. Those left to cherish their memories of Betty include her husband, Wardie McCarthy; her children Stephanie Whyte, Steven W. McCarthy, Rachel Workman, and Tracie Skinner; and 6 grandchildren. Betty will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
