Betty Jean Landry's Obituary
Betty Jean Landry went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 82 on July 19 2017. She was surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren.
Betty was born July 7 1935 in Arp, TX to Earl and Anna Moore.
She is a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed Cooking, Sewing, and many hours on her computer. She also enjoyed the fellowship she had with the members of Oakland Heights. She was the head computer operator for the Gulf Oil Corporation in Houston, TX until she moved back to North East, TX in the early 1960’s. Then after becoming a CPA she worked in that capacity until she retired 1999.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis A. Landry, her father Earl Moore, her Mother Anna Moore, brother Earl R Moore, sister Maudie Moore, brother Charles Moore.
Betty is survived by Daughters Jerrie and Evert Clothey of Colorado Springs, Co, and Janice and David Johnson of Fort Worth, TX, and sister and brother in law Richard and Jearldean Whitaker of Henderson, TX. She has 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Pamela, Jennie, Robert, James, Steven and Katilyne as well as 12 great grandchildren. Sister-in Law Jerrie Moore-Dunn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 22, 2017, in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Bill Hansen officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM prior to the service at Rosewood Park Mausoleum.
